A Beach Wedding in November!

June 24, 2017 10:30 am

Natalie had first got in touch with I DO KNOT last December 2015.  Back then she knew what she wanted: a small intimate beach wedding sometime towards November.  Following the first contact, we exchanged a few emails and put together a beautiful celebration for the couple scheduled for Friday 4th November 2016.

Natalie has been to Malta numerous times as her family owned a timeshare apartment, thus visiting at least once a year.  Although we didn’t meet in person during the planning process, it was a very straightforward collaboration as the couple knew exactly what they wanted.  They were familiar with the locations we proposed and decided to go ahead with Golden Sands Beach, located in the Northern part of Malta, synonymous with the beautiful red sand.

Since the date was set for November, it was a must to have a venue that offered a back up in case weather wouldn’t permit to have the actual celebration on the beach on the day.  Come November 4th, however, we couldn’t have asked for better weather.  The temperature was 25 degrees and the sun was shining as it was the middle of summer.  On the day the beach was packed with tourists, most of which were sunbathing and swimming.

The wedding ceremony took place directly on the sand where a part of the beach was made private whilst enjoying a spectacular backdrop of the bay. The scene set was perfectly as the sun beaming down and filling the air with warm rays of delight was exuding paradise and tranquility.

The wedding was a small intimate affair with only Natalie and Adam and eight other guests, all of whom were residing in a large private villa in the neighbouring town of Mellieha.

The ceremony commenced at 2.30pm when the beautiful Natalie made her way down the wooden pathway with her father at her side, music quietly playing in the background. Natalie wore an ivory elegant floor-length gown with the back showcasing a stunning lace detail with small delicate bobbles tracing down her spine, stunning! She carried a small hand-tied bouquet of pretty mixed white flowers, her hair in a lose braid and finished with some gyp flowers to complete the look.  All the guests had little flower touches: the males wore a white boutonniere whilst the ladies wore a corsage with white flowers and ribbon around their wrists, binding everything together.

Once the vows were exchanged underneath an archway of delicate white flowers and ribbon, Natalie’s sister Vicky read a reading ‘The Meaning of True Love’, they then signed their marriage certificate leading to a round of applause by their family and friends, sealing the deal with a kiss.

During the wedding ceremony the photographer was catching their special day through his lens. Following the ceremony he took more intimate pictures of the celebratory couple with the stunning background, as well as some customised photos of the entire party.

Whilst on the beach as a newly married couple Natalie and Adam along with their guests enjoyed sipping Mojitos (and Virgin Mojitos for Nan and Dad) basking in the glorious Maltese heat.

The party then proceeded to the beach terrace where a long table was readily set for a scrumptious lunch overlooking the sensational view.  Once lunch was over, they all drove back to their villa to continue with the party there.

The team at I DO KNOT would like to wish Natalie and Adam a prosperous future together and to thank them for allowing us to help on their special day.
